For the noodles
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles) The backbone of the dish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and optional red chili flakes. Whisk until smooth.
  2. In another bowl, coat the chicken pieces with cornstarch.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  2. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  3. Meanwhile, cook the noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
Combining
  1. Toss the cooked noodles into the skillet with the chicken and sauce. Stir to coat.
  2. Serve hot topped with green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Notes

For a perfect sticky texture, simmer the sauce longer. You can add vegetables like bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas for more flavor.
